Polite but haughty if they find you 'bothersome'. Lack compassion. On a superficial level friendly but perfunctory. Sometimes helpful, others indifferent. Hard to get appts in general. The nurses are miserable. Dr. Childs nasty. Id like to see true love of their work rather than going thru motions for good feedback.

The surgery is a bit of a bleak place so it never looks great when you arrive. The chairs in the waiting area are not great if you are a bit unsteady as most do not have arms. The receptionists are a mixed bunch, some helpful, some unhelpful, I wish they wore name badges so you could give feedback about them, they've all been there for years and some deserve praise while others deserve the sack. The two younger doctors are great and both committed and interested, I avoid seeing Dr Childs because I've found her disinterested and dismissive.

My most recent appointment was with the practice nurse, she is the most miserable and unhelpful person I've ever met. The appointment was a complete waste of my time though I was told I had to have one. What a waste of time and money employing this woman.

It's a middle of the road practice where the senior partner doesn't seem to care much about what goes on as long as the money keeps coming in. The receptionists are as miserable and difficult as GP receptionists always are - have these people forgotten that the person standing in front of them pays taxes that pays their wages? The whole place could do with a good shake up.

Going to Thameside is a real mixed bag, you might call for an appointment and get a helpful receptionist who will make an appointment for you or you might call and get one of the awful ones who will make you jump through hoops on the phone and make getting an appointment difficult. When you get there some of them are almost pleasant and some of them are the most miserable people in the world carrying its weight on their shoulders. Have they ever thought that life would be easier if they were more pleasant? Two of the doctors are great, don't see Dr Childs.
